I bought a laptop from a guy I know. It will connect to my wireless internet, but won't load ANY webpages?
He told me that he had the internet disabled because he didn't want his DJ's playing on the internet while they were working for him. I need internet on this laptop so I can buy and download the proper software to run my DJ business. Can someone PLEASE help me figure out what was done to this laptop to make the internet not work? Again, it does connect to my wireless internet, but when I go to type in any webpage at all, it says "the page cannot load." And I tried to "diagnose" the connection problem and all it says is "cannot diagnose."

basically because you're linked to the wireless router would not recommend you've an internet connection...this in certain situations takes position with mine, I basically reboot. You way favor to envision your internet settings... commence > run form in cmd hit ok form in ipconfig /all See if you're getting an ip address, default gateway, dns servers, etc...

There is no way to tell what method was used to disallow internet access. You need to contact him and have him walk you through it..
