why go to plan B if plan A fails to work, would it be better to start with plan B.. survey?

You have decision to make after due consideration you developed plan A and plan B plan A in your opinion is the best option. Plan B is your contingency back up plan. If Plan A does south which was your best option them plan B is available Will plan B be successful? Maybe so more than likely no. So you always start with plan A as the most plausible.

When planning for any job, project etc.,

there are several options that we keep.

Name them as A or B or C.

If one plan fails, we opt for the one of the others.

plan A is supposed to be your main plan, if you know it is going to fail it won't be plan A

there is always a chance that your plan might fail, in that case you make a backup plan that you call plan B or what ever you wanna call it

Ah, that's just it. You never know when plan A will fail, so it's always good to have a plan B !!
