Quite possibly the best bait for fishing for big snook, and all the other species that you can catch while you're targeting snook, are Gulp! baits. Get some Gulp! Shrimp, and Blue Crabs. The snook, tarpon, drums, and all the other species just can't get enough of these baits.
The Gulp! baits last a LOT longer than live baits do, give off pretty much the same scent, and can be revived by putting them back into the pack of Gulp! juice, so you get more of the flavor that the fish love.
If slow jigging isn't your thing, you can try some Super Spooks for topwater action, or some jerkbaits that are white (with red head) or silver (with black back) and silver (with blue back).
The same colored Rat-L-Traps in 1/2ounce sizes will also work great!
With these 4 sets of lures, you'll be on good fishing!
