Looking for Constructive Criticism on Lighting?

Although executed well, I don't care for that light pattern but find it is really not suited for subjects with eyeglasses.

I actually like the glasses.

What caught my attention/distracted me right away is that the lighting is exactly the same on both sides of the face.

I think you should make one side different, even if it's just by a little bit.

However, I think you'd make a powerful effect if you left one side dimly lit, leaving just the back light showing through.

I agree the glasses ruined it. At least push them all the way back if you can't lose them altogether.
