Mac doesn't read Data CD?
My Mac Book doesn't read any data cd.
I think this is not either CD problem or Hardware problem.
Cause, CD contains .mp3 and .mp4 and some other files and it works well on Desktop Computer.
So, my CD is working well.
And when I insert blank CD to mac, it ask me what to do and I open with Finder
Then it open with Finder and show CD icon on desktop
So what?? It isn't CD error and my hardware is also working well
Here is what I've tried
Finder -> Preferences -> General -> and check "CDs, DVDs. and iPods"
still not working ...
System Preferences -> CD and DVD -> and change "insert a music CD", "Picture CD", "DVD" to igrone
not working too ...

All my data CD and data DVD in my whole house is not badly scratched. Every CD and DVD can read in my Desktop PC, my sister Laptop and my brother PC. Only that Mac Book don't read .

Your data CD is so badly scratched it cannot be read. Solution = either replace the disc or have the old one skimmed so it's readable again.
