How do I avoid losing my answer?

Often when I have almost finished answering some question on Yahoo, my answer vanishes and I am back at the original question, so I have either to abandon the attempt or start over. Is there some fatal keystroke I am making in error, or what else am I doing awry?

This normally happens when the question is deleted whiles asking or you take so long answering, the link times out (either Yahoo or your ISP). For anything other than short answers, type it in a word processor or the like and only cut and paste it as the answer when complete. That eliminates the time out problem.

Since you say it happens oftern, you may have a bad cache file. You can try this, it can help.

    1. Log off YA

    2. Clean internet cache files and cookies

    3. Delete all temp files

    4. Reboot your computer

    It has worked for others.

I have very occasionally had problems in submitting an answer when there is a "novus actus interveniens", such as the question being removed while I was in full flow. Otherwise, I have found that pressing the arrow at the top of the screen which permits me to return to what I was doing before (the one pointing right) restores my answer to me. I too suspect that it is some fatal keystroke on a hypersensitive keypad.

Keep them short and simple, and substitute the word Wrong for Awry it's better English
