Strictly dual line. These things can take years to fully master. I'm still working on what's called a comete, and a wap-do-wap. That last one, dang, you gotta first fly it inverted, then wrap it backwards around on itself, then at the right angle, spin it 360 degrees and again at the right moment pull it back into inverted flight. When done right, it's like a ballet in the sky. I get the mp3 player going as I trick it. Great workout and music makes it a great afternoon experience. Favorite kite so far would be the French Connection, no longer in production but New Tech kites put it out several years ago. Awesome trickster. There's other ones too though. Small market, but there's nothing like flyin' a dual line.

Whatever happens to be in my hand at the time. LOL. Generally kites I made myself are more fun than kites bought at a store.
My favorite is a double-sled kite I made. It's 18" tall. Two lifting surfaces are 12" wide each, and the "fins" at the sides add another 6"+6" for an an-the-ground width of 36". The fin in the middle, and the two lifting surfaces, give it excellent stability. Being made from a tall kitchen trash bag with three bamboo longerons makes it lightweight, so it's a very good light wind flier.
I like to try to fly fighter kites. They're fun only when the wind is very steady. When it's not, then I stick a tail on 'em. Check out the "classic hata kite" at intothewind DOT com.
At the beach, I fly a "Cody pro kite." You can google for this.
Last but not least, I also like to fly a "power sled 24." You can google for this. Some people use these for kite aerial photography. I wouldn't. Much as I love my kite, if I had a camera I'd go with the next bigger size I think (the power sled 36).
I have plenty of other kites. Some of them pull too hard, and some don't fly very well, and some... both.
