P0449 error code 2006 Chevy Trailblazer?
A week ago I posted that the check engine light on my 2006 Trailblazer was on. I didn't know that code at the time. According to a friend's Car MD it is P0449. I already had the local garage replace a part under the car. It was square black plastic...sorry I don't know how else to describe it. The garage said it MIGHT be the computer or wiring. It wasn't a Chevy dealer as the closest one is a distance away. I am just tired of putting money it the problem and not getting any results.

Your frustration is certainly understand with this issue. A Chevrolet Dealer should be well equipped to diagnose and resolve this issue. Their work should be accompanied by a 12,000/1 year warranty policy. If you would like assistance in arranging an appointment, don't hesitate to contact me so I can get the needed details. I hope this issue is resolved quickly.

P0449 is for the Evap Vent Solenoid. Most likely they replaced the EVAP Vent Solenoid.
If the light came back on, you might want to look into going to the Chevy dealership. I wouldnt have spent a dime until I took it to them first. That way, it they didnt fix the problem. you can get in GM's face & the Service Managers face & lay into both that they didnt fix the problem & most of the time GM wil lay into the Service Manager's face as well. You will get more pull but since you went to this repair shop, my guess they will never touch it again for free or fix the problem for free so your out of luck on that part. Not sure it is the ECM, may have an issue with the wiring though.
