    In '87, this would have been considered simply Rock IMO, although things were starting to splinter at that point according to media "definition" (alternative-rock, modern-rock, college-radio-rock, post-modern-rock, arena-rock, etc.).

    Sounds like a fairly good club band, but not poppy by 80's standards.
