please answer serious baby question!?
i am 39 weeks pregnant and am being induced on thursday.
at the beginning stages of pregnancy i had a positive marajuna test and my doctor was mandated to report it to social services.
ever since that test my urine has been clean.
what will social services do?
can they search my house?
i am clean, do not smoke at all.
but other people in my house do.

The fact that you're worried kinda means you have weed in your house and you dont want it searched?? :)
Yes, they can search it. Although weed is illegal, its the least "frowned" upon of all the illegal drugs. Get it out of your house. Keep it out of your system. Social services believes in change and they do not want to take the baby, if your tests are clean, you'll be just fine. You are NOT the first nor the last to dabble in some weed and then find out your pregnant. you are however...a very good mother for quitting the bad stuff in order to raise a healthy happy baby.

Make the home that you bring your new baby into as clean as possible. If the people you live with do drugs in your home I would suggest finding a new place to live. No one can protect your baby except for you & you must do everything to keep your baby safe & healthy. If you used to smoke it then having it around you all the time may be too much of a temptation which will put you at risk of losing your baby. I for one wouldn't take any risks of having my child taken from me & would take every step possible to make the environment my child is raised in is as safe & healthy as possible.

Yes they will. My mom went through the same idectal thing. You have to for this baby and you be clean and quit. Clean your house and make everything look nice. All I can say don't let any bad people in your house.

They will probably investigate, and the hospital may test you and baby at birth. As for whether they can search your house, it depends on the state, whether you consent, and whether or not they can get a court order if you refuse to consent.

If you have been clean since then they may do a check up but I don't think they would do much more.
I hope that you arn't still smoking weed, it delays your reaction too much and can send you crazy.

Yes they can, however they could just retest you and if you are negative they might just let it be.
