If the Golden State Warriors move to San Francisco, will they change their name to the San Francisco Warriors?

Hopefully.

The move ISNT for sure. And if they do move it wont be until the 2017 - 2018 season since they got a contract with Oracle Arena that ends in 2017.

I dont see a NEED to change the name since they are the "Golden State Warriors" Last time I checked, San Francisco was part of Golden State.

But who knows, they might switch back to their old roots and go with the San Francisco Warriorrs.

But again doesn't make sense because they just changed their logo and everything last season, with a new name they probably will need new jerseys and everything.

I don't think so, because they are already in the bay area and they didn't name themselves after there city of Oakland. They would probably stay as the golden state warriors because they are still in the golden state. They are still in the area of there current name. But that is a great question, and my answer is just an assumption.

There is no reason to change the name. San Francisco 48ers team moving to Santa Clara are not changing their name to Santa Clara 49ers.

I don't know but hopefully they will start to get better like when the sonics turned into okc
