Need some, advice about my Toshiba laptop battery life?

The battery of my Toshiba laptop goes down very quickly.

I charge it 100% and within twenty minutes of usage it is flat. My Laptop is a Toshiba make and the battery is a SANYO make.

Does that make any difference?

Your advice will be appreciated as to what I should do?

Thanks

life expectancy of a laptop battery is around 2 years , seems that your battery almost dead. you need to purchase a new replacement battery for instead.

life expectancy of a laptop battery is around 2 years , they last longer if treat right , and less if treat wrong

    the right way :

discharge them fully once a month , never over charge them or leave them on charge for more than necessary

if oyu are having it constantly plugged into the mains reamove the battery

try use the full life of the battery from fully charged down to empty ,

batteries work on a trickle charge , most of the power goes to the laptop (when on) and the rest goes to the battery , but its always topping up the battery when plugged in , batteries consist of cells , 3 - 6 or even 9 cells depending on the battery type

the trickle charge charges them one by one , and when it gets to the last one , it fully charges it and keeps charging it , over time this kills that cell in that battery , and moves onto the next one down , if its a 3 cell you lose 1 third of you battery life , it will then do the same to the second cell , and then the last cell till you battery holds minimal to no charge .

the bad way is the opposite to all this

leaving it on charge all the time , not discharging it fully etc
