Nikon 6006 lenses to Nikon D3100 lenses.?
I use to have the 35mm Nikon 6006 camera but I recently got the newer digital SLR Nikon D3100. One of my older lenses from the 6006 worked with the D3100 and the other one didn't. Is there an adapter that would work to uses the 6006 lenses on the D3100?

Sorry "unknown friend", Canon is the one that obsoleted their lenses in the '80s by changing the camera mount from the FD to EF mount. FD mount lenses will not fit Canon cameras made since the mid '80s.
Out of the 65 million lenses Nikon has made in the last 50 years, 99.9% of them will fit. Your manual will list the very few lenses that will not work.
The same lenses that fit your N6006 should work with your D3100. However, unless they are AF-S, they will not autofocus. And if they are not at least AF "D" lenses, you will have to put your camera into manual mode to use the lens.
I bet the lens you are saying doesn't work will in fact work if you put your camera into manual mode.
And if it is an AF-D lens, make sure you rotate the aperture all the way to the smallest setting, as this "locks" the aperture into auto-mode. If you have an AF-D lens and the aperture ring not set to the smallest aperture, the camera will give you an fEE error.
Of course, if the non-working lens you have is not a Nikon lens - perhaps there is an incompatibility there.

Actually, they will fit, but they won't autofocus because the D3100 doesn't have a body motor.
The other problem is that the D3100's sensor is smaller than a 35mm negative, so the lenses will appear longer.

All lenses from your N6006 should fit your D3100. Not all will autofocus though. Here's a guide on how to go about it.
