Is anyone else getting a lot of violations lately?
On Yahoo Answers, my questions keep on being deleted and they're not even inappropriate questions. What's the deal? Anyone been getting the same thing?

no
Not me
I haven't had a violation notice in over 5 years.
It did make me angry that one time, though.
;(
There wasn't a reason stated, but there was a link to the Community Guidelines..... which I admit I had never really read completely.
You see, Many users don't realize that their content is considered a violation, until after they actually read (in full) the links that are provided in the violation notice.
If you study these links FIRST, and practice them, you'll never have to worry about violations, suspensions nor appeals
Read the Y!Terms of Service
http://info.yahoo.com/legal/us/yahoo/utos/utos-173...
Read the Y!A Community Guidelines
http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines
and ALL the attached help/FAQ's
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/abuse/?fr...
(Bonus POINTS) if you pass Community Moderation quiz
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/moderatio...
After reading ^those, You might see that you've unknowingly posted violations.
OR ..If AFTER reading all of the above links, you STILL believe that you were wrongfully reported, then appeal the violation(s).
And a Customer Care Agent (human being) will review them. If they decide that the content was NOT a violation, they will reinstate your posts and refund your points AND put a black mark on the reporters reputation.
You have 7 days to appeal,
HOWEVER, if they are deemed correctly reported, you will lose ANOTHER 10 points for wasting CC's time with an appeal.
I hope this helps.

No, no reports other than new users and serial violators. There are several reasons Qs are removed.
1. It is a violation of the rules - you will get an e-mail when that happens. If you want to know the reason for the violation, post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add the original e-mail you got so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you. There is no statute of limitations on breaking the YA rules.
2. There were zero answers when the time expired - no e-mail sent.
3. The BA was reported as a violation - no e-mail sent.
4. During voting, "No Best Answer" was chosen as the best answer - no e-mail sent.
Look in your e-mail, including the spam folder, for a violation e-mail. If not there, check your activity tab in your profile. If nothing about a violation there, then the Q was removed for one of the other reasons.

They are either being reported, in which case you will receive an email containing an invitation to appeal the deletion, or they are actually posting but not making it to the category lists, which is a constant glitch here lately. If the latter is the case, they will still appear on your activity list but not on the boards. The only way around this is to delete and try posting again. Eventually it will stick.

No.
Inappropriate doesn't necessarily mean they don't violate the guidelines. Posts get deleted when they are reported by one or more reliable users.

No but it's still early, lol. Their probably for chat, most of mine came out of Polls and Surveys that's why I don't go in that category anymore. If you really feel they weren't violations you have the option to appeal.

Many of the reporter trolls have given up on reporting my answers because I have a high rate of winning appeals when my answers are falsely reported. For some trolls, EVERY question or answer posted on YA is a chat violation, and the new people usually don't understand how YA works well enough to understand that ALL violation email notices should be appealed, even when you choose NOT to appeal IN THE APPEAL, because the computer network is an integral part of any online community like YA. If your questions or answers are being falsely reported, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO APPEAL THE FALSE REPORTS. Trolls don't need or have reasons for falsely6 reporting questions or answers. They falsely report to feed their egos and feelings of superiority..

you could desire to charm that style of stuff. "What do you scent like" is a valid question, and could be reinstated in case you charm it. do no longer permit it get you down-it occurs to the superb persons.
