Why am I missing periods?

DO NOT say I'm pregnant because I'm not sexually active. My cycle skips every 2 or 3 months. I don't know why it's happening but it's been like this for 2 or 3 years.

Update:

I'll be 23 next week and I got my first period when I was 12. My last period was last month and I should have started my next one by now.

Update 2:

I also don't have a doctor.

Update 3:

I'm not taking any medications or herbal medicines.

If you are just starting to have your period, it is normal that your period date will not at first be constant. But if you have been having your period for a while, I really don't know what to say.

Sometimes it happens. Are you taking any sorts of medications or herbal medicines? That might have an effect too. Otherwise, irregular periods are pretty common, especially in the first 5-ish years that you've been having your period.

When you recently had your period(2-4 years ago, more or less)it WILL be an odd cycle because your body's hormones are NOT balanced 100%.

This can take until you're in the later teens.

If this has been going on for 2 to 3 years and you haven't seen a doctor about it, then it must not be of much concern to you. Please don't expect to get answers about a medical condition on here. See your doctor and ask him or her what's going on.
