i have a internet camera, and my computer wont work with it? please help.?

Hi, um mm, i have a computer camera which lets you talk with people face to face in the internet, but when i inserted the USB, i would go through the wizard thing and then at the end it would say it doesn't work. does it have to include anything? please help, i really want to talk to my family from a far. thanks.

    did your camera come with a software disc? if it did you need to install the software /drivers first and only connect the camera when it says to do so
