Can you help me with these dance questions?
I have been dancing Latin-american and standard dances since I was six...I am not English or American so sorry for my bad English..I will soon be 16 and I was wondering...Are those dances valued in the world? I don't think they are...So,how much can a professional Latin-american and standard dancer (ballroom dancer) ear from the tournaments? What are the advantages of winning a big tournament? I love to dance and I think I am pretty good..So I would like to know something about this....

Google "Latin-American dance tournaments" (especially with your current country inserted).
Google "Latin-America dancers" or "Latin American dance winners" This way you can perform your own survey.
I assume that dancers don't make as much as golf or tennis players. I don't know how old you are, but you might consider this a side income and focus on school. Dance can prepare you for a lot, focus, timing, breathing, keeping muscles strong. But nothing can prepare you enough like a good foundation in math, science, history and languages. Many a performer and athlete have been taken advantage of because they never had the basics. Good luck.

Professional dancers don't make a majority of their money from competition prize money. More of their income comes from doing shows and teaching/coaching . The advantages to winning or placing highly in major competition are things like higher prestige (and therefore high demand) as a coach, more demand for show performances, and the ability to charge higher fees for shows and coaching. In addition, if you are competing professionally, much of your income gets spent on your own instruction and coaching.
