My PSP won't play UMDs! Please help!?

first check that the U:M:D is in good condition if the case covering the disk is broken wobbly or flimsy that could be a reason the U:M:D is not starting up and the clicking noise the little mettle component in side the psp where the disk goes this thing reads the disk and does other things IF THIS clicking sound is happening while the U:M:D is inside there is a: P:S:P drive is broken or b: the disk is not readable or not in the drive correctly also without U:M:D inserted check if the P:S:P U:M:D lid is flat if it is one side is up and the other is down you are missing a pin also check what type of P:S:P you have usually this is caused by the P:S:P 100 model (made 2004) you can check by opening the battery lid and take out the battery there should be some writing on the upper left or right will have e.g psp 1000 or psp 3000
