Is Windows Media Center better than Windows Media Player?

I am trying to decide which one is better for watching movies on my HP Pavilion p7-1030 desktop.Any suggestions?

    neither.

    both are just basic minimalistic players

    with the bare minimum essential codecs.

    use VLC media player > http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

    Although a matter of opinion, they're both somewhat mediocre.

    I suggest you try VLC Player (ít's open source and free), another good one is Media Player Classic Home Cinema (has good hardware acceleration, also open source and free).
