The Roman Catholic Church teaches a false gospel:

All of the quotes used in this article come directly from the Roman Catholic Catechism

Proof that the Roman Catholic Church’s Gospel is False:

    I. The Roman Catholic Church's gospel is FALSE because it teaches that baptism saves:

1272* Incorporated into Christ by Baptism, the person baptized is configured to Christ. Baptism seals the Christian with the indelible spiritual mark (character) of his belonging to Christ. No sin can erase this mark, even if sin prevents Baptism from bearing the fruits of salvation. Given once for all, Baptism cannot be repeated.

1257 The Lord himself affirms that Baptism is necessary for salvation. …The Church does not know of any means other than Baptism that assures entry into eternal beatitude; this is why she takes care not to neglect the mission she has received from the Lord to see that all who can be baptized are "reborn of water and the Spirit." God has bound salvation to the sacrament of Baptism, but he himself is not bound by his sacraments.

1213 Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; …Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."

    I. The Bible does NOT teach that Baptism Saves. In this section, I will use the truth from the Bible o refute the Roman Catholic Church's false doctrine about baptism:

The Bible says: The sinner can only be saved one way. His sins, which are many, must be atoned for (paid for). For baptism to save, it must have the power to wash away sins, but the Bible tells us that only ONE thing can wash away sins! The following verses constitute only a small portion of proof from the Bible that could be marshaled to prove that sins are washed away only by the blood of Jesus Christ.

And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness and first begotten of the dead who washed us from our sins in his own blood (Revelation 1:5).

Wherefore Jesus also that he might sanctify the people with his own blood suffered without the camp (Hebrews 13:12 ).

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood: and without shedding of blood is no remission (Hebrews 9:22 ).

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (I Peter 1:18-19)

But now in Christ Jesus, ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).

II. The Roman Catholic Church's gospel is FALSE because it teaches that we can save ourselves and others through works:

980 It is through the sacrament of Penance that the baptized can be reconciled with God and with the Church: …"a laborious kind of baptism." This sacrament of Penance is necessary for salvation for those who have fallen after Baptism…

1479 Since the faithful departed now being purified are also members of the same communion of saints, one way we can help them is to obtain indulgences for them, so that the temporal punishments due for their sins may be remitted.

1815 The gift of faith remains in one who has not sinned against it. But "faith apart from works is dead": when it is deprived of hope and love, faith does not fully unite the believer to Christ and does not make him a living member of his Body.

1475 In this wonderful exchange, the holiness of one profits others ... Thus recourse to the communion of saints lets the contrite sinner be more promptly and efficaciously purified of the punishments for sin.

II. The Bible does NOT teach that our works can save us. Therefore, the Roman Catholic Church's doctrine about works is unbiblical and, hence, false. Following, you will find several of the literally dozens of Bible passages that PROVE that works do NOT save:

The Bible says: If we rely upon works (either our own or those of anyone other than Jesus Christ) to save us from our sins, we only earn further condemnation (This means we make our situation WORSE with God by trying to earn salvation by our own works; our debt before God only grows larger).

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. (Romans 4:2-5).

The most difficult thing about the Christian concept of the Trinity is that there is no way to perfectly and completely understand it. The Trinity is a concept that is impossible for any human being to fully understand, let alone explain. God is infinitely greater than we are; therefore, we should not expect to be able to fully understand Him. The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also teaches that there is only one God. Though we can understand some facts about the relationship of the different Persons of the Trinity to one another, ultimately, it is incomprehensible to the human mind. However, this does not mean the Trinity is not true or that it is not based on the teachings of the Bible.

The Trinity is one God existing in three Persons. Understand that this is not in any way suggesting three Gods. Keep in mind when studying this subject that the word “Trinity” is not found in Scripture. This is a term that is used to attempt to describe the triune God—three coexistent, co-eternal Persons who make up God. Of real importance is that the concept represented by the word “Trinity” does exist in Scripture. The following is what God’s Word says about the Trinity:

    1) There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5).

Trinity is not a Bible teaching.

The Bible tells us the personal name of the Father - Jehovah. They inform us that the Son is Jesus Christ. But nowhere in the Bible is a personal name applied to the holy spirit.

permit's think of of... each and every physique agree the father is God, so permit's pass it away. this is clean that Jesus is God (John a million:a million; John 20:28; Acts 20:28; Romans 9:5; Heb a million:6; Titus 2:13; Jude a million:4; Rev a million:17-18; 1ºJohn 5:20; Colos 2:9; etc... etc...) The Holy Spirit is God too. he's hence of the reality... he's omniscient (1ºCor 2:10); he's omnipresent (Psalm 139:7); he's eternal (Hb 9:14). Peter suggested as him God (Acts 5:3-4). Paul suggested God stay indoors our physique (1ºCo 3:sixteen) and he suggested this is the Holy Spirit who dwells in our physique (1ºCo 6:19). He additionally suggested through fact the Holy Spirit God, hence. Jesus commaned a baptism in only one call for 3 people in this call (Mat 28:19). John develop into extra clean: "For there are 3 that submit to witness in heaven: the father, the be wakeful, and the Holy Spirit; and those 3 are one". (1ºJohn 5:7 - kjv). Paul additionally made it clean via means of the trinitarian blessing: "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the affection of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen". (2º Cor 13:14). Bellow you have some verse the region you notice Father, Son and Holy Spirit working mutually for mankind salvation... Titus 3:4-6; 1ºPeter a million:a million-2; John 14:sixteen; Rev a million:4-5; Jude a million:20-2; Mat 3:sixteen-17. some people say the trinity is from Nicea, in spite of the reality that this is a great LIE. The Fathers os church interior the previous 325 d.C spoke with reference to the trinity. Irenaeus (125-202aD); Justin Martyr (one hundred-one hundred sixty 5 advert) and Clement of Alexandria (150-215 advert) are stable examples. Clement suggested Christ is "particularly deity thoroughly manifested". Justin testified the Holy Spirit develop into worshiped via means of the persons.

The early Greek translation of the Bible never had the word Hell mentioned, rather in it's place there was Gehenna. And if people knew anything about Christianity that it originated from Judaism, and in Judaism Gehenna is Gehinnom which is not the same thing as Hell. Rather Hell was formulated from the Jewish afterlife, but Hell is completely original to Christianity. In fact Christian Purgatory has more in common with Gehinnom than with Christian Hell in regards to being a state of purification.

The Niceae Creed is also not mentioned within the Bible, but the Niceae Creed is older than the first Canonized Christian Bible (Vulgate). In fact much of what the early Christians taught and believed are found nowhere in the Bible, there were instead orally passed down from generation to generation from the Apostles to their successors to their successors. Many who believe the traditions ended after the history of the Bible are ignorant because Christ's Church is a living Church the authority of His Church never rested upon the Bible itself but rather with the Apostles and their successors.

But than again in latter history there have been doctrines introduced which hold no relation to the Apostles and their successors but rather are doctrines of man.

And if you must know the doctrine of the Holy Trinity was formulated from Scripture and declared orthodox by His Church prior before there even was a Canonized Bible.

A Catholic authority says that the Trinity “is not . . . directly and immediately [the] word of God.”—New Catholic Encyclopedia.

The Catholic Encyclopedia also comments: “In Scripture there is as yet no single term by which the Three Divine Persons are denoted together.

And the New Catholic Encyclopedia also says: “The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is not taught in the O[ld] T[estament].”

What does the Bible say? “Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at God’s right hand. ‘Look! I can see heaven thrown open,’ he said, ‘and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God.’” The New Jerusalem Bible.

What did this vision reveal? Filled with God’s active force, Stephen saw Jesus “standing at God’s right hand.” Clearly, then, Jesus did not become God again after his resurrection to heaven but, rather, a distinct spiritual being.

There is no mention of a third person next to God in this account. Despite attempts to find passages of Scripture to support the Trinity dogma,

Dominican priest Marie-Émile Boismard wrote in his book (At the Dawn of Christianity The Birth of Dogmas): “The statement that there are three persons in the one God cannot be read anywhere in the New Testament.”

Does it honor God to call anyone his equal? Does it honor him to call Mary “the mother of God” and the “Mediatrix between the Creator and His creatures,” as does the New Catholic Encyclopedia?

No, those ideas insult God. No one is his equal; nor did he have a fleshly mother, since Jesus was not God. And there is no “Mediatrix,” for God has appointed only “one mediator between God and men,” Jesus.

Those who believe in the Trinity are not “holding God in accurate knowledge.” That verse also says: “God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting.” Verses 29 to 31 list some of those ‘unfitting’ things, such as ‘murder, strife, being false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless.’ Those very things have been practiced by religions that accept the Trinity.

For instance, Trinitarians have often persecuted and even killed those who rejected the Trinity doctrine. And they have gone even further. They have killed their fellow Trinitarians in wartime.

What could be more ‘unfitting’ than Catholics killing Catholics, Orthodox killing Orthodox, Protestants killing Protestants all in the name of the same Trinitarian God?

Religion actually degrades Jesus when it teaches that he was God in the flesh. How so? Consider an illustration. Some workers make a request of their supervisor, but he says that he does not have the authority to grant it.

If his statement is true, the supervisor has wisely displayed an awareness of his limitations. If it is not true if he can grant the request but simply chooses not to he has been deceptive.

Now, how did Jesus respond when two of his apostles desired positions of prominence?

He told them: “This sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”

If Jesus were really God, would that not have been a lie? Instead, by deferring to the One with greater authority, Jesus set a beautiful example in modesty and he showed that he was not equal to God.

there is a trinity "interpretation" in teh bible, and a theology of the godhead from the bible.

i was taught to believe in the trinity when i became born again, but i was then reproved by both the jehova witnesses and mormonism.

the Godhead has much more bible verses that compel a person not to believe in the trinity, if they study it out

p.s. consider this verse which denies that jesus and God are the same:

    Luke 18: 19, 22

19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

    1 Tim. 2: 5

    5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

    1 Jn. 5: 8

8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

consider how jesus denies being God

    John 10: 36

36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

one of the simiplest arguments against the trinity is the prayer of the Lord jesus when he prayed that all believers would become one with him even as he is one with the father. the trinity only teaches 3 in 1, if you add the current christian world by sheer numbers that 1 1/2 billion in ONE

its therefore not 3 in 1 its that the Godhead is ONEness and the sons of God that agree with the righteousness of God

    John 17: 11, 21

11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

    • • •

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

the word Trinity is not in the Bible. From my reading one of the early Popes came up with that word and or concept.

God says in the Quran regarding the Trinity:

"People of the Book (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, and attribute to God nothing except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a Messenger of God, and His command that He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and in His Messengers, and do not say: ‘God is a Trinity.' Give up this assertion; it would be better for you. God is indeed just One God. Far be it from His glory that He should have a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth. God is sufficient for a guardian" (Quran 4:171).

Yes and no. The word "Trinity" does NOT appear anywhere in the bible. However, there are many christian sects that claim that the concept is in there and they cherry-pick the quotes (out of context) to prove it. There are also many christian sects that claim that it is not in there and they also cherry-pick their quotes (also out of context) to prove it.

Fact is that the Jews have ALWAYS held to, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord, the Lord our God, is ONE".

Yet the Trinitarians still claim that the "Trinity" is inherent in the Old Testament, which is clearly contrary to the Jewish teaching.
