Question about "Christian" avatars?
Why is it that so many of the "christian" guys on here seem to go for the same dorky avatar face? they may change the hat, but that face is always the same.
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality9 years agoFor the fundies/Armageddon/Last Days believers?
What is your reaction to today's news that Israel now has a missile capable of delivering a nuclear device on Iran? So, are we now one step closer to the Armageddon/Second Coming fantasy?
Believers/ unbelievers, pros and cons welcome, but back up your opinion with coherent reasons. Bible quotes automatically thumbs down unless they actually pertain to the question.
Blessings on your Journey!
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhy do so many questions with the word "atheist" in them get deleted?
What are people afraid of? That their theology might get questioned or that they cannot compete in the arena of ideas? I saw someone else earlier asking a similar question on questions about Islam. Seems like the fundies are on a crusade here lately.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWho is more deserving of a Best Answer?
Is it the person that completely agrees with you or the one that disagrees very much but can provide logical. and valid reasons for WHY they disagree with you such that you learn something from them?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhere IS this "questions" tab? Not on my screen!?
I'm getting all these 2-week old resolved questions and having to do multiple clicks to get to anything new, too. But I'm told to click on the "questions" tab and click "newest". Only problem is that I do not see any such "questions" tab on my screen, so where in the (expletive deleted) is it?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWill the world REALLY end in 2012?
I'm SOOORRRRY? !! Please don't stone me. (Except with good drugs, then we can talk!)
I just thought we needed a break from Noah's Ark, ok?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoMormon wife dies, husband still alive, what now? Seriously, please?
My girlfriend's cousin recently died. She was Mormon, her Mormon husband is still living. I know Mormon marriages are for eternity. So the question is, where is the wife's "spirit" waiting until her husband dies and rejoins her? My girlfriend is honestly concerned about this, she and her cousin were close. Thank you for any reassurances you can give for the g/f.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoR&S is my home. How do people on here (Corinthians, etc) do multiple accounts?
OK, so I'm at level 6 and have only gotten 4 VN's to date (and beat one of them on appeal). But I notice people that seem to have multiple accounts. When I go into "answers", it kicks me into my current account, so how do I get into where I can set up a second account? Sorry to ask on R&S, but this is the only site I ever spend time on and I never seem to get answers on any other sources that SEEM like they shoulc
d be the right ones. And Thanks to all for your help!!
Blessings on your Journey!
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI live on R&S, so I need to ask here, it's also the only place I get answers. About my profile?
OK, I am on my Profile page. It tells me that I am not set up to receive e-mails or IM. How can I change that and can I do it somehow from the Profile page itself? (I get websites people tell me, but they never seem to work.) Likewise, I want the "avatar" page, I want to adjust my picture and I have the same problem with how to access the pages to do that. Again, can I do it from Profile page? (Again, I get websites that never seem to work) I tried to ask Yahoo help but they are useless, they say "ask the members". So I am asking. Best answer goes to first person that can actually tell me how to do these things. (Oh, is there a way to tell if I have been blocked? I don't think I ever have, but how would I tell?) Last question optional, it's very low priority. Thanks!!
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoStrange question but I'm in the middle here?
OK, I'm on the IM with a young lady that is 16, just had a kid, just left a very abusive relationship. She seriously needs a friend to talk to that is female and close enough to her age to really talk to. She also has depression and is sometimes suicidal. This is not a joke, she trusts me and is very insecure so she asked me to do this. She considers me to be her best friend. Serious answers, please e-mail me at happyheretic@q.com. (I don't know how to hook my email or IM into the answers profile, i have a lot of trouble getting into the things I want on profile for some reason). Anyhow, thanks for answers, much appreciated!
1 AnswerOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoWhy do I sometimes get a notice (in red) that says "sorry, we couldn't save your rating"?. There is no?
pattern to it and it happens a lot on some days, hardly at all on others. Also, it only happens on a "thumbs up", never a thumbs down.
#2 - pardon my ignorance, but what is "lulz"?
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI'm agnostic. You cannot prove/disprove any god. But tell me this - -?
I did read a quote once that said "Anyone who does not believe in god obviously has never owned a cat".
The Egyptians believed that cats were gods. I have 2 that KNOW they are goddesses. I do all the work and they lay around, only pay attention to me when they feel like it. But I love 'em, & I think it works both ways (not that a cat will ever admit that to a lowly human).
So, any thoughts?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoR&S answers - what are the meanings of "k" and "poe"?
I think I figured out troll, those are people that just like to start "doo-doo". but I see the "k" and "poe" and don't have a grasp. I like the site, can be interesting sometimes, but it seems to have its own secret code, also.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoProfile page does not have "my questions" or "my answers" options on it.?
Also, the "edit my info" puts me into a single data page (name, address, etc.) but does not show any ways to change name or avatar. There is a change picture option there but it is very weird and asks for stuff that's already in my hard drive and then won't even accept the format it asks for for a search. This profile page simply does not fit any of the stuff my previous answers said would be there. What now?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is the significance of "42"? I keep seeing it here.?
I know the pagans, especially the Pythagoreans, held numbers to have sacred properties, and the christians are big on the "666" from their bible, but I had never seen this "42" thing until I got on this site and it gets thrown around a lot here.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI need help. How do I navigate on Yahoo Answers. I need to know how to do some things.?
Somehow, when I got into Yahoo Answers, I tried to find how to do things & cannot find any "primer" anywhere.
1) If I ask a question, how can I find it again to see what answers came up and especially so I can pick a best answer?
2) Likewise, if I answer a question, is there a way to follow up and see what other answers have come up?
3) How do I go about changing my identification name (or can I) and how does one select an avatar?
Sorry to put this in R&S, but it seems to be the only site to get any answers, I've tried Yahoo Products and get nothing. Is there a site where I can get these answers?
Thanks very much!!
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoResponding to an answer.?
I notice some people seem to be able to respond directly to a previous answer without having to actually go into "answer the question" to do it. How can I do that?
1 AnswerYahoo Answers1 decade agoDoes anyone know why people on the internet (Answers, blogs, etc.) can't spell or type?
OK, so i'm 67 and a former professional proofreader. But I notice how many people can't spell, type, or compose a complete, coherent sentence. At least on Yahoo, they do try to use *** instead of the swear words and insults, but there's still a lot of insults tossed around. Let us allow the other person the right to be a complete idiot without having to be rude about it. After all, someone may think YOU are a complete idiot, too. You don't live as long as I have without having been there once or twice. (3 marriages down, 2 trips to prison, yeah, I do "idiot" real good.)
3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoDoes Yahoo have a "customer service"?
If there is such a thing as Yahoo Customer Service, how do you contact them (or is that a secret??)?
