what do i feed a wild baby bunny?

my cat brought home a baby bunny today we are going to give it back into the wiled but we want to make sure it is alright and we can find the mother. it is very small just got its fur in. and we are keeping it in my room away from our 3 cats in a basket with some blankets. we check on it every hour or so we just want to know how we can help it for only a week or 3-4 days please no rude comments saying "put it back in the wild you are killing it" i we are planning on putting it back as soon as we can

A few things for you - the mother won't take it back now, especially after you've handled it and had it in your house, because your smell, and your cats', would be all over it. Unless you have special formula for baby rabbits specifically, I wouldn't suggest feeding it any food you have in your house.

The best thing for this rabbit would be to take it straight to the vet, but there is probably little hope for it, as it's already been away from it's mother for too long to really survive on its own, especially in the wild! If you put it back in the wild now, or even in the next few days, you're giving it a death wish. Being only a couple of weeks old, it could never hope to survive on its own outside. I can almost guarantee it would get carried away by an owl or a fox pretty much immediately.

My advice: Take it to a vet. Right away.

Thank you for trying to caring for this rabbit!

FYI, your not going to find the mother and you will not see her... Mother rabbits Do Not sit in the nest like birds do, they only feed the kits once a day and Will Only return at night to call for her kits and feed them....

The longer you keep the baby risk of that kit dying goes up.... The best thing you can do for that baby is to bring your cat in and let it go tonight... Not in a day or two... The care that people attempt to provide can be illegal, unnecessary....

you should keep him in a warm, dry place that's dark. like a cardboard box with a heating pad UNDER half the box. don't try to feed him or give him water, call a wildlife rehabber asap and get them to tell you what to do from there. they'll most likely want you to bring the rabbit in if he's very young. don't try to do anything with him if you don't have experience ok? thanks for caring!

Put it back in its nest or call a wild life rehab center. Don't feed it anything. And keep your cats inside where they belong so they can't slaughter more wild life.

Yes, put it back where outside or call a wild life center, its very illegal for you to rise it and if you try you will kill it

It IS going to die fyi... One because you don't know how to care for it and two because it NEEDS it's mother. Call a vet. Good luck

Feed it warm milk through a baby bottle and rabbit food from a pet store and it will likely thrive.(:
