countries or religions that have banned computer games?
i'm doing a school assignment and need to know what countries/religions have banned computer games and what game it was. for example have any countries banned c.o.d or the sims? (links to websites please) or are there any countries that dont believe in computer games?

There isn't any country around that has banned computer games completely (that'd be as effective as trying to stop people watching porn, never going to happen) however there are cases where countries have banned games due to their content.
For example, here in Ireland they banned a game called Manhunt 2 for "gross, unrelenting and gratuitous violence."
Saudi Arabia banned the God of war series because of the intereactive sex minigames and because the word "God" was in the title.

So no there are no countries that don't believe in video games, but there are countries who will examine games VERY thoroughly to make sure they aren't exposing younger kids to stuff they shouldn't be exposed to in the first place.

I'm pretty sure I heard of GTA being banned somewhere. Had to be somewhere with muslims or russians but not sure.
I heard Left for Dead 2 banned in Australia.
