Hemorrhoids problem for a teenage girl ! HELP?!?

Question

so i'm 17 and i've had minor hemorrhoid issues since i was like 13 but its gone away now and what's left is a pencil-rubber sized skin tag(??? i think that's what its called) and its painless ! 

but about 3 weeks ago i had food poisoning which, obviously, caused severe diarrhea and now i've developed another external hemorrhoid right next to my skin tag and its been there for about 2 weeks now. it hurts and i always bleed after a bowel movement. it's not big or anything but there's always an uncomfortable feeling in my anal area when i sit down:/ i really don't want to see a doctor, if possible, because i find showing your anus to a stranger awfully intimidating and awkward..

is there any way for me to quicken the healing process or make the swelling go down? i don't want it to get worse then have to wait years until it becomes another skin tag which would then make it awfully weird to explain to my boyfriend when we decide to have sex...

also, due to cosmetic concerns, which would be the most painless way to remove an anal skin tag?
