Is there a difference?
i reinstalled Windows 7 today (you might have known that from my other question, don't worry, this one is different) and let it run through its updates and after they were all done, I noticed that all of my hardware was recognized and seemed to be working, but I did not use the disks that came with my hardware. Should I use them still? Or did Windows install them for me already? I'm a little confused on this.

When you install Windows, it loads a bunch of default drivers that are needed to get the system running efficiently, this is the case but its likely not running optimally....
Things to do:
Goto you motherboards manufacturing website (Gigabyte, Asus, Asrock etc..) and find your motherboard, click on download (or support or something like that) and you'll have the option to update various drivers...LAN, USB, Chipset, etc...
Do the same with your Graphics Card...
Its always best to get the drivers from the web as they will be the most up-to-date, the drivers on the CD's you get from the MOBO and Graphics Card could well be outdated....
Obviously though the first thing you should be doing is getting your AntiVirus Setup and working properly.

Windows 7 comes with all of the more popular drivers, but it would be a very good idea to check the Device Manager and see if there are any missing hardware drivers.
