I'm looking for a flute-type instrument somewhere between a orchestral flute and a recorder. Any help?

I have a flute, but after taking lessons for a year I gave it up because my embouchure was not good. I did not have the lip you need to play one. I also know that there are recorder type of flutes...don't know the name...and was hoping someone could enlighten me. Many thanks.

    It is unclear what you mean by a recorder type of flute. A recorder is a type of flute. A recorder is a fipple flute.

    Perhaps you mean a recorder with keys? Susato.com can retrofit 2 two keys onto a tenor recorder. I cannot really imagine the point of having a full set of keys on a recorder. They seem unnecessary.
