Has Obama Done a Good Job as President?
I am a conservative, but I understand what Obama has been trying to do and I understand that he means well, but he just sucks at his job. First of all, America has double the debt since he came into office with nothing to show for it. He has also made countless broken promises. He said unemployment would be down to 8% by 2009 and 6% by 2012.That's 36 months of unemployment being higher than he said it would be, and because of that, hard working men and women like my father are unemployed and struggling. I'm not being bitter because a lot of people have it worse than I do, but I am just stating a fact.Obama's broken promises continue when you recall how he said 2 million people would rise out of poverty in the United States, when 6.3 million actually fell in.
Obama is also atrocious at bailing companies. AIG and GM hasn't really worked out so far. He's spent 35 billion dollars on clean energy industries. All money down the drain. Fisker Automotives. Let's spend money on them! Nice job, they employ people in Finland now. Solyndra? The poster child for the future of clean energy? Obama gave them a 535 million dollar loan and now they are bankrupt. Who pays for all of this money? Our generation, the next, and even the next. His ideas are pure and good for the country, but Obama does not do his homework, along with his top people in office, and we suffer for it. I think the whole green energy path is good for the long-run, but right now oil is another problem. It is so damn expensive. Maybe we could drill in the meantime while Obama actually does his homework before he blindly invests billions of dollars in green energy. I saw an Obama speech about 2 years ago where he says he is going to start to drill. Another broken promise. The keystone pipeline would create a lot of jobs too, but Obama says no. Obama is going nowhere right now.
Now he wants to force us to buy health care. We will be forced to buy insurance from the people already dishing it out, which means a company with no need to truly help the people other than for a profit will be in charge, health care quality will drop like a rock. Plus, it will become a monopoly. Who knows if Obama and the boys did their homework this time around? And I think not because it was really rushed at the start. It could end in a disaster. I am also puzzled why health care is such a huge problem now, anyways. All of his efforts should be towards fixing the economy first, and foremost. Then some people will be able to actually afford health care who do not right now because they will actually have a job. And why are we aiding the less fortunate in other countries? Shouldn't we aid our own first so we can then help others? It's not really a selfish thing to do because you are helping other people and it leads to helping others outside the country.
All in all Obama has shown an incredible lack in leadership. I feel that people were too mesmerized by his speaking ability and his confidence, that a lot of people blindly voted for him in '08. Republican or Democrat, you should understand by now that Obama is not capable of leading a country, and I hardly blame him, he had next to no previous experience! I have gone on to long, back to the question: Do you think Obama has done a good job in office?
BQ1: Did you vote for him in '08?
BQ2: Are you voting for him this year?
@LØ∇Σ haha that's funny

I am not American so I am not bias to anyone, if I compare Obama to Reagan I would give him a C grade, but if I compare him to Bush W I would give him an A grade, all and all I think he deserves a B considering he inherited an economy collapse, two hefty wars, and a divided country.

I'm sure there are other politically stupid people out there that also think he's doing a good job. However, he has not kept his promises, like, he'll close Quantanamo bay in 1 year, or that when he socializes healthcare he won't fine the citizen's who don't have it. Those are 2 examples. And on the 2nd example, not only is this current bill, which he's trying to force through the house now, going to fine those American's who don't have health insurance, it does nothing to lower the cost of it. Instead, it will raise the cost of it! He has done nothing to improve this nation like he said he could. He hasn't fixed unemployment, in fact, it excelled during his first year. We tried to warn you, now you (those who voted him in) got what you wanted. How you liking that change?

Putting ones political bias aside all one has to do is look at the job 0bama has failed to do vs the job he needed to do and the job he could have done and you have your answer. Its very obvious to anyone with any degree of common sense that 0bama has been a complete failure as a leader and as a president. Presidents are graded by their achievements, but when a president has no meritorious achievements to his credit he can not expect the peoples vote of confidence for a second term.
BQ1: No
BQ2: No

I think he has passes some very good legislation and I will be voting for him this year. I think some people just have much to high expectations. There is no way that 180 degree change is going to occur over 4 years. The economy changes over time and is slowly improving. Now that the short rescission is over, things are getting better and will continue that way if Obama remains in office. If Romney gets voted for, he will destroy all of the progress that has been made and wipe out any potential progress. CEO's will continue to make record profits while the common american suffers.

I found a job after a year and it was better than the last one I had. Many of my friends have found jobs. I'm just not seeing it, but it is different from local area to area.

Clearly, he has done an outstanding job as President.
Anyone who says otherwise has no clue about what has been going on in D.C. for the past 3.5 years.
Obama, 2012

He may have averted W's great depression #2 but we will never know that.
I am sure he wanted to do other things than to make up for W's mistakes.
again - we will never know.
It's a shame when a President has to spend all of his time trying to fix the mistakes of the prior President.
and he had been doing that - he is truly a great American - believe that

Liberals will say yes, Conservatives will say no. Either way their both going to be biased, and exclude information that will hurt their argument.
