Well. Because of their amount of views and subscribers they are able to participate in something called a "Youtube Partnership". This makes them get money for each video shown to each person watching the video. Some people are part of various multi content channels and they get their money by just making videos for them.
If you would like to join the youtube partnership you have to have many subscribers and live in a non restricted country. There are some countries that you cant join from.
