purchase interest on a credit card I haven't purchased anything on?!?
I haven't used my credit card in about 6 months, I still have a balance on it and I'm trying to pay it off. I keep getting "purchase interest" and "cash interest" charged.
I read that they can only charge you this for the month that you bought things on the credit card, but I am still getting charged this 6 months later, is this right?

This is right. Unless you completely payoff your balance, you get charged interest from the date of purchase and/or cash transaction until the balance is completely paid off.
