Is it wrong to say I don't like Yelawolf, Mac Miller, or Chris Webby?

chris webby is decent. Mac miller is nonsense. Some Yelawolf songs are good but for the most part I'm not really "impressed". Don't get me wrong, I love Eminem, and hes white but i just dont think white people should be rappin about drugs, violence and etc if they never lived the life in the actual poverty hood

I for the most part like G-funk music/west coast music, it has alot of funk in it (Eazy E, BG knock out etc)

Update:

i'm just sayin this cuz those three rappers are POPULAR on the internet now. but I don't really see the hype about them. Yeah sure they're lyrical but still not impressed

Update 2:

@Nyi I'm not sayin white folks can go through poor ends and be in adversity. I'm just sayin they dress up as a hood thugster but come from the surburbs or trailer park and try to act "hood" and as soon as they get locked up they'll that white card..

Don't defend white people, cuz they will never defend us for sh--

Update 3:

white people can just as poor as black people...

but theres a line where you try to act like somethin you're not

and No I don't think its ok for Lil wayne to be fake, you're puttin words in my mouth and its not OK for Rick Ross either

You're actually right, none of them are particularly good rappers.

"i just dont think white people should be rappin about drugs, violence and etc if they never lived the life in the actual poverty hood"

-You're a racist b*tch. Don't even act like this wasn't about race, either or else you wouldn't have even brought it up and you wouldn't be trying to cover your a*s by including Rick Ross and Lil Wayne in this too.

"Don't defend white people, cuz they will never defend us for sh--"

-This is the biggest problem in America right now. Not that white people don't defend black people, but that people are still considering the races to be opposing teams. How about you quit worrying about what color everyone's skin is and just consider them people who don't defend each other for sh*t. World's cutthroat for everybody, deal with it. Even if you do still adhere to the blacks and whites as opposed to just people model of thinking, God forbid you take the high-road and try to improve the relationship, nah, you're too busy b*tching about white people.

"white people can just as poor as black people... but theres a line where you try to act like somethin you're not"

-There is nothing more racist than the sentiment that people need to "act their race" I've lived in poor urban areas (like your prototypical black rapper) and poor, rural areas (like Yelawolf) and I'll tell you there are just as much guns drugs and violence out in the boonies as their is on the block. Only difference is, it's rifles and shotguns instead of pistols and it's meth instead of crack. Quit taking so much f*cking pride in the drugs and violence of the hood, sh*t's everywhere and it's not a good thing regardless of location.

Quit being so self depreciating. You're acting like blacks are the only ones who have to deal with that sh*t. It's a sad testament to the way blacks view themselves if you think that being black is a prerequisite to a hard life. I'm white and I've got an alcoholic dad, had a gun pulled on me, been mugged at knife point, had coworkers disappear and turn up dead later, witnessed a gang rape, had a murder take place in the same building I was living in and have to deal with meth heads on a regular basis. Am I being a poser if I talk about those things just because I'm white? You're not intimately aware with the details of any of these people's lives so quit acting like you know them and quit trying to act like being poor and having problems is a good thing.

I bet you've never had to deal with any of that sh*t, anyone who has wouldn't be acting like being from the hood is some sort of badge of honor. It's a struggle, one that nobody wants to be a part of and everybody who is there wants to escape.

^^ I think it's safe to say Chris Webby has never spent a day in the "hood" have you seen the dude? The same can probably be said for Mac Miller. Them being white isn't the issue though...I dislike Mac Miller because he's terrible. If he were black or any race I'd have the same opinion. Yelawolf is cool tho. I'm not the biggest fan but he's pretty good.

Really now is this a race question cause my opinion is Jay, Ye, Pac, Em, Rakim, Raekwon, Nas, Royce, Cole, Wale> Yelawolf, MGK, Sam Adams, Phyzical Thurapy, Mac Miller, or Chris Webby> lil Wayne,Drake,Tyga,Nicki,Ross,Waka Flocka,Gucci Mane, T-Pain, lil kim, Young Jeezy, Wiz> People in this section posting links

Actually Yela had a hard life, he doesn't like to talk about it either. Also have you heard Asher Roth? His music's pretty good. MGK's stuff is okay? I don't like his music to much to be honest though. If you're just trying to find more white people that rap search YouTube? I don't think you should acknowledge the color of there skin though, just by the words you hear and how much work you think the person put into the song. That's what makes rap great.

So.....Lil Wayne's Black @ss can fake his Blood sh*t all day and that would be ok to you?

Not liking them isn't a problem....trying to use their race as a reason to discredit them? Thats wrong...Just because they are White doesn't mean they can't go through the same sh*t every now and then....Especially with something as generic as Drugs and violence....

EDIT: You are talking about "acting Black"....dress like a hood...act hood...and what not....there is a word for them..."Wiggers".......and Wiggers are annoying....even worse are people like V-Nasty who is just a full blown minstrell show....but Yellawolf is a product of where he is from...if thats his element then you can't fault him for taking in what he's around and what he feels comfortable with. In short...you are generalizing all white people when you are only speaking on a certain type....i agree with your logic on wiggers....but White people can very well be just as real as anyone else considering their upbringing....and honestly i don't see what you're talking about in regards to Yelawolf....

And i'm not putting words in your mouth shorty....you made a statement that singled out one race that mimics another race through a stereotype.......thats a lot of failed logic....Anyone can fake a race with stereotypical behavior...so singling out White people as a whole was just unfair in my perspective...

That's just a matter of taste, but I feel like Kendrick Lamar and Jersey Demic is a lot better than both of them. They have more content and struggle in their music I guess.

naw, Mac Millers...just mental. Yelawolf doesn't overly impress me either.

just cuz they're popular on the internet, or popular in general, doesn't mean they're good.

"Don't defend white people, cuz they will never defend us for sh--"

    woah, no, this is bullshit.

I like a bit of Yelawolf.

    I don't like the others.

If they make good music, then i'm cool with it.

How can it be wrong to say you don't like anything or to say you like something else? You feel what you feel... that's it. When you hear it, if you get those whispers, those chills, those vibrations, that is your music. To hell with everybody else.

And you know for a fact that these guys NEVER lived the life in actual poverty hood? Please. Your social arrogance is laughable.
