Tips for coping with first postpartum period?

I am 8 weeks postpartum and began my first period after the birth today. I hurt all over, feel extremely weak and nothing tastes right to me, so I've had a hard time eating. I am also breastfeeding my little one, so I need to keep my strength and calories up. Anyone else have tips? In general, the only thing that has worked in the past for my period pains is Pamprin, but I've read that I should not take it while breastfeeding. Tylenol, which was the only thing my midwife approved for me to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, rarely does anything for my period pains, so I haven't taken any at this point.

You can take ibuprofen (motrin) while breastfeeding, it only appears in breast milk in tiny amounts and is considered safe to use in breastfeeding women. You can take 400mg three times a day and it is generally very effective for period pains.

nicely i think of the 1st few classes are somewhat strange to be sincere. i'm 8 weeks postpartum and that i bled the 1st 3 or 4 weeks then it stopped, then at 6 a million/2 weeks postpartum i began out my "era" and it is been going good ever provided that. i'd supply it some extra weeks and whether it is not any longer combating call your gyno and ask approximately it :) i be conscious of it is a crappy deal yet you're no longer on my own!
