Apparently someone sent the following message to everyone in my address book
[you should give this a look http://www.news15de.net/biz/?news=1207954]
The mail did not originate from my computer as there is no record of my sending it in my "sent mail".
I recieved a similar mail a few days ago from a friend and opened the link to find an advertisment for a money making scheme.
How did my address book become compromised?
It is a Yahoo account

This was probably caused by someone obtaining your ID and password and copying all your contacts and email. From that point on they do not need your account. Anyone with a separate email program can use any address as the FROM address. There is no way to stop this method. They can continue even if the account is closed. They already have the list. To make sure they are not actually in the account change the password.
It is possible that this is caused by a virus on your computer. Changing your account may not solve the problem since any virus is going to get access to your new account too. Run a virus scan.

Your Email has been hacked which is getting pretty common. It will be best if you change your Email address but before you leave the one you have try to print or copy your address book. You may have to write the information down but some programs allow you to print the contacts.

If some thing even remotely equivalent to this occurred, i'd be soooo indignant, so irate, that i'd contact each body that had administration over the internet. i desire the FCC does. i'd imagine that possibly it would also be an outstanding theory to beef u your safe practices, even regardless of the reality that I imagine that your "manage e book" is in it one way or the different. All of those cyber websites are risky, because they lack safe practices. in reality, I guess they don't need safe practices. have you ever look into the thanks to document an "ethics" declare with "facebook", adversarial to "facebook" i'd be in the present day installation a sparkling password for each thing, one which has letters and numbers and is not achieveable to wager. Do a Google search for for pointers on that. back, beef up your safe practices measures, and that i'd be writing all of my contacts, (BCC for sure) that this occurred without your information and also you're taking steps to perfect the "Breach of safe practices" or words to that result. sturdy success
