Best time to travel to AZ?

I'm looking at visiting a friend in AZ but I'm trying to figure out when is the best time to go there especially when it comes to flight prices. I'll be flying out of Detroit or Flint Michigan. So far from my research it looks like the cheapest time to go is August or September. What are the cheapest days to fly out too?

Hey I have visited Michigan every summer since I was a baby! :) I'm 20 now. Anyways, The best weather in Arizona would be end of September through the end of October or the beginning of March through the end of May. Flight prices are more expensive during holidays so if you plan on going in September, wait till labor day weekend has passed. I think the cheapest day to fly is Monday through Wednesday.

Summer is extremely hot, and the heat usually lasts from April-September, though it can go earlier or later depending on the year. One year, it was over 100 degrees by April 3rd, meanwhile the next year it was seventy degrees by September 15th.

There's a reason snowbirds come from October to April; it's way cooler and there's no snow. I always wear shorts on Christmas since it's so nice and cool, but not freezing. :)

As a resident of the Phoenix area my whole life, I would suggest anytime between September and late April. :)

It's hot in the summer in southern Arizona, but I say. . . so what! I love it here in the heat. But, it's true, most people do find it a tad bit toasty.

Anyway, in northern Arizona, which is mostly in a higher elevation, it's not all that hot in the summer. I'm sure there are a lot more people visiting northern Arizona in the summer and a lot more people visiting southern Arizona in the late fall, winter, and early spring. So, you have to say where you want to go for us natives to give you good information.

Best is during the winter because it's not as hot as the summer. Summers are really hot in AZ because its a desert
