That depends on their culture. Here in America, I don't think it's ok. The only way to make it in this country is to finish school, go to college, and get a decent career. A person needs to get these things done before they think about starting a family. But in many other places, a career isn't the main priority, kids are brought up to be more mature and responsible, and it's very common to get married young and have kids in your teens, and that's also natural for our bodies too, so I can't say it's wrong for them.

Age does not determine the capability of the parent.

No, not really.. it ruins your life so early when you have plenty of time for that.

I don't think it's okay.Teens are not mature enough or ready financially and emotionally to raise a child. There are a few rare exceptions when a teen is a good parent, but still it's not really "okay." It will pretty much mess up their lives.

It depends. If they can support themselves financially and will give the child a loving caring home and they are finished with education or are carrying on with it then I have no problem with it.

It's only those teen mums who live of the state, drop out of school and are bad mums I have problems with.

I rather a 17 year old girl has a child and loves the baby and cares for it then a 30 year old women on drugs who does nothing for her baby.

I think their is a stigma behind teen mums but my mum was a teen mum who raised my sister with my grandparents and she still went University and then had 2 more children, and she done a good job and my sister didn't turn out to be a teen mum and didn't have my niece until she was 27 and in a relationship unlike the statistics say.

So yeah if you are a good mum and give your child the care it needs then I see no problem and teen mums need to stop getting the reputation of bad mums because some of them are good and work hard and I feel sorry for them why bad teen mums give them a bad reputation and make everybody look down on them.

Obviously there should be some kind of limit like I don't think at 13 its okay because you are just becoming a teenager and are to young! But at 16, if you are legal and if you are doing a genuine good job then I have no problem and won't look down on you, its not my place to judge.

  • Um I don't think it's okay.

I think it really depends on whether they are married or not. I think it is not ok to have sex until marriage. So if a teen (prolly an older teen) is married, than they can go ahead and become pregnant.
