does anyone have a good idea for using the "leftovers" from cleanin fish?

i fish 2-3 times a week and hate wating whats left after getting the fillets off.

Update:

@fisherman andee. I don't kill everything i catch. I learned to fish and hunt with my grandfather and intend to teach my children and grandchildren. The big ones get a picture and released. i do however enjoy to eat what i catch from time to time and don't like to waste anything. i am a huge supporter of conserving and protecting our wildlife for future enjoyment. im sorry you took it another way then that.

I normally freeze them solid and then thaw them out. I ground them up and use it for chum on my next fishing trip. Some people use the heads for their gardens, some deep fry the tail fin and eat 'em like chips ( did that, not bad) and some people give ( or sell) it to the local farmers. One crazy lady I knew wanted the back bones to make jewelry. There's so much you can do with the scraps if you can imagine it. Most just freeze them and toss it in the trash on trash day....keeps the stink and flies down to a minimum. ~good luck catchin'.

I have buried it for fertilizer but heard that you can get nasty disease from eating vegetables grown in it. I have also frozen it and used it as bait to live trap raccoons. I live in the country so just dumping out the leftovers usually means a good snack for something wild around here too.

Bury it for fertilizer. Or if you fish saltwater freeze it and use it for chum. You can make fish stock with it as long as you discard the guts first. If you make the stock you don't want it to boil, just simmer. Simmer means no bubbles just steaming hot.
