Songs that you thought had a different meaning ?

When I first heard Sweet Leaf way back then, I really thought it was about an American Indian girl. What are songs that you guys had it's meaning wrong.?

Me too! I always thought sweet leaf was an interesting nickname for a girl..

Got to get you into my life - The Beatles (its also about pot)

Let it Be - The Beatles ("mother mary" is paul's mother not the virgin mary)

    Snowblind - Black Sabbath (cocaine)

Mandy - Barry manilow (it was written for his dog)

The Jack - AC/DC (its about an std) I thought he was talking about cards

No More Tears - Ozzy (its about a serial killer) i thought he was in love with the girl

Little Red Corvette - Prince (its about a woman's.. yeah)

Semi-Charmed life - Third Eye Blind (its about meth)

Big Ball from AC/DC. When I first heard the song I thought it was about men's balls but it's actually about parties.

When I heard gone shootin' from AC/DC I thought it was about shooting buck. But it's actually about shooting heroin.

The first thing that comes to mind is when my friend was a little kid, she was horrified by Neil Young's "Down By The River" because she thought it was a song about shooting an actual baby, like a newborn infant.

As for me... Hmm... Actually going with the "baby"' theme - I thought that "Under the Boardwalk" was a song about a man sitting on a blanket with his (infant) baby. LOL.
