Who needed Game 2 more? Miami or Boston?

Unquestionably Boston. With Rondo you COULD say imagine how confident he is right now, but you could also point out that he did all that and they still lost. Same with LeBron being terrible last night. He was terrible and they still managed to win, so that gives lots of confidence to Haslem and Battier and Chalmers, all of whom helped carry the load late.

A 1-1 series is much different than a 2-0. Boston now must win both games at home, and four out of five remaining, to win the series. If they lose either gm 3 or 4, this series is over in 5. If Boston had won last night, there was no way they were losing in less than 6, and a pretty decent chance that they could've pushed it to 7 and possibly won the series (though with their recent history of being unable to win close out road games, this is highly unlikely, they really need to win 4 in a row at this point.)As it is they will be extremely lucky to not lose in 5.

Defending home court is all well and good but now the pressure will be on Boston for 2 straight games, we will see how they respond, but to come so close and lose is a killer and I'm not sure we will have much of a series to look forward to.

Boston needed the game more. If Boston could beat Miami in their own then the series would have been tied 1-1 and then Miami would have to beat Boston in their home court to take the series.

Boston...they needed to split in Miami since they don't play that much better at home...plus they really gave it their all and still lost. if they had won, it'd been all right that Rondo played 53 minutes

Now, they're down 2-0 and have all their stars tired from game 2.

NO miami could have lose this and honestly thought nothing of it. besides the whole C's team be stuck in a hopeless 2-0 hole they now have the confidence of the heat role players up. and dont expect another game like that from rondo.

Boston. Heat win series in five only to get manhandled by SA
