How big of a deal was it when your breastfed baby started to get teeth?
My little guy is 7 1/2 months old and got his first tooth yesterday. The idea of breastfeeding and teeth sounded incredibly painful in my mind but so far hasn't been that big of an issue. Was it a big issue for you?

None what so ever.
A baby can not bite you and breastfeed. They have to latch on which involves the teeth being away from the breast. They latch on with the lips.
Do you worry about your husband's teeth when you kiss? lol
My kids only tried to bite me once. As a friend suggested the moment they did that I said NO in a firm voice that startled them enough to make them stop then quickly sat them on the floor at my feet. The removable from breastfeeding and away from me was enough to make them upset. I calmly said "No biting mommy. That hurts." Picked the baby back up and continue feeding.
I breastfed my kids until the age of two.

we had a few issues, but nothing like you imagine. I had more issue with dragging teeth when coming off the latch, but even that is pretty easy to address. If you have any issue just reference kellymom.com - there is literally an answer there for every issue n nursing & they've never been wrong for me so far & I've been nursing over 5 yrs continuously through two kiddos. :)

I nursed all five of mine until long after they got their first teeth. It wasn't ever a big deal. Some never bite me and the ones that did, it stopped quickly when they knew the breast would be taken away if they did.
