Best mode of transportation along Las Vegas Strip?

Ill be going to vegas during the summer. Ill be flying in and wont have a rental car or anything. So whats the best mode of transportation to travel along the vegas strip to see the casinos, shows and whatnot?

Any busses that go along the strip? Shuttles? Or do I have to take a cab?

You'll be fine without a car. We never have one and have never wished for one.

The Deuce bus goes up and down the strip and is very cheap. That's a good option for long distances.

You can probably walk to many of the locations on the strip.

There is a Monorail that runs from MGM to the old Sahara location, with several stops along the way. It's not really cheap, but it's also not exceptionally expensive.

There are also a few free trams that can help you make your way from one place to another, depending on where you are. There is one from Mandalay Bay to Luxor and Excalibur, another from Monte Carlo to City Center and Bellagio, and another from Mirage to Treasure Island.

Cabs are a good option if you're in a hurry or are going a long distance.

The strip itself can easily be walked. Most Vegas tourists don't have access to a car, and a car definitely isn't required. Most things are along the strip itself, as far as casinos and shows, although a few shows are located elsewhere. There are city buses and some hotels might have shuttles, but otherwise, there are TONS of cabs in the touristy part of the strip.

Honestly, if ur in overall good health, the best thing to do is walk. The first time I went to Vegas I asked my parents why we aren't renting a car and they told me, u don't need one and it's very true. U will see tons of tourists walking the strip day and night and i know that the harris resort offers a shuttle bus thats free, i think it takes u to the rio. Im sure wherever ur staying, they're going to have a shuttle bus that offers to take u places that are somewhat far, but for the most part, u can walk and the heat really isn't as bad as u think. it's literally like 5% humidity all the time so its light and dry, not heavy and sticky.

There are CAT public buses BUT there is a FREE monorail that runs from Monte Carlo to Aria to Bellagio so you just have to walk to close casinos. The one behind the MGM, etc., is charged

The Strip is 3 miles but in the day time heat of summer NOT smart to walk

    Cabs are expensive
