can you put melted candle wax in a plastic jar?

i am making candles and can i put melted candle wax in a thin plastic jar because that is all i have and my mom is to cheap to spend 3$ on one....

    You can't make candles in plastic jars. Plastic will burn and melt and give off toxic gasses when it does. You need to use metal candle molds or glass jars. You can also make really cute candles using old teacups. There are lots of mismatched ones at thrift stores.

    When you light your candle the plastic will melt...

    Do you have any candle jars that are empty or close to it? You could always clean those out.
