Check my work, please? Need this study guide soon!?

1. Complete these nuclear reactions

12C + 4He → _O-16_

16O + _He-4_ → 20Ne

20Ne + _He-4_ → 24Mg

24Mg + _He-4_ → 28Si

(the elements with the lines on either side are my completion of the nuclear reactions)

2. What pattern to you recognize in these reactions? Why does this pattern exist? - The pattern I recognize is that there is helium in all of these reactions. This pattern exists because an element changes each time helium is added to it.

3. What symbols are used to describe alpha, beta, and gamma radiation? - italic lowercase a (Alpha), cursive-looking B (Beta), backwards r (Gamma).

4.    What element is formed when Ra-226 emits an alpha particle? Write a nuclear equation for this reaction. (any help with this one?) No clue...

5.    What element is formed when Co-60 emits a beta particle? Write a nuclear equation for this reaction. - Co-60-Beta---->Nickel (Ni)

6.    The element 238U emits radiation and turns into 234Th. What type of radiation is this? - Not sure?

7.    The element 14C emits radiation and turns into 14N. What type of radiation is this? - Beta Minus

Thank you!!

    4. What element is formed when Ra-226 emits an alpha particle? Write a nuclear equation for this reaction.

    88-Ra-226 ---> 86-Rn-222 + 2-He-4

    This is alpha decay

    5 What element is formed when Co-60 emits a beta particle? Write a nuclear equation for this reaction. - Co-60-Beta---->Nickel (Ni)

    27-Co-60 ----> 28-Ni-60 + -1-e-0 + antineutrino

    6. The element 238U emits radiation and turns into 234Th. What type of radiation is this?

    alpha. lost 2 on the atomic number (92 ---> 90) and 4 on the mass number.

    7. The element 14C emits radiation and turns into 14N. What type of radiation is this? - Beta Minus

    correct

    A is the component (-sixteen,-22) by way of fact a million/2 way there is the midpoint. This says that the y-coordinate replaced via -19 from B so it is going to alter via a similar volume to A. subsequently yet another - 19. -19-3 = -22 via the way the x cordinate works a similar way.
