Mother 3. It's a game that never got released outside of japan, but some dedicated members of the Mother community made a fan translation for it. It's really sad. I've never cried because of a video game until I played this one. The ending is heart breaking and the characters are really memorable. It's a great game and certainly a good time if you decide to try it out.

Its not a video game but the music video for Amberdeen by Cage The Elephants is really sad

When you fight Angelus in Drakengard 2 and she dies with Caim... So sad considering you spend the entire first game with them, it has flashbacks and everything.. I cried so much.
