skip a period with pills?

I have birth control pills and i just want to skip my period while on vacation, so if i took 28active pills instead of the 21active pills just enough to skip it and have my period once I return from my trip......

have my period......then take 21 active pills as usual....will my peiod return to the normal 21 day pack cycle or will it have gotten thrown off cause of that 1 extra week of pills

cause i dont wanna take to full packs back to back, just enough to throw it off, so i wont have it while away

    It's perfectly safe to take two packs back to back, I did it while I was on spring break. You should never stop taking pills in the middle of a pack because it greatly increases your chance of pregnancy. After you take the 21 active pills, just start the next pack of 21 active pills and have your period when it would come after that.
