Absolute value is the distance from 0, so its always going to be positive. multiply the absolute value by the outside. Always use order of operations.

Absolute value means distance from 0, without regard to direction from 0. Therefore, when you take the absolute value of a negative number, you make it positive, and when you take the absolute value of a positive number, you make it negative.

    1. abs(-4) - 3 = 4 - 3 = 1

    2. abs(6 - 11 + 3) = abs(-2) = 2

    3. 5*abs(6) - 2 = 5*6 - 2 = 30 - 2 = 28.

    Hope this helps!
