How do mobile phones still record the time when they are switched off?
Like when you switch them back on they are the correct time, why is that?

The cellphone is not completely switched off actually..the battery keeps running and keeps track of time and when you switch it on it shows the correct time..Try removing the battery and then put it back on after ten minutes and you will notice that the cell phone will prompt you to enter the exact time and if you sont do it some phones show the older time when it was switched off and the others dont show the time at all...This is unlike computers and laptops wherein there is a separate battery for that very purpose..Hope this helps!!
