How to make Spanish rice?

I have jasmin rice and want to make some Spanish rice with it. My husband doesn't like diced, or stewed tomatoes, so does anyone have a recipy using something like tomato past or sause instead? Please help, be nice, and thanks a lot!

    Simple and easy...

Cook 1 to 1-1/2 cups rice in Chicken broth as normal - scant on the broth.

Add: 1 small can of tomato sauce (not paste!)

    1/2 sweet red pepper

1/2 small can of diced green chilis

    1/2 cup of mild salsa

Stir well continue to simmer for about 10 minutes. The longer you simmer with the lid off the thicker it becomes.

To kick it up add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin and 1 teaspoon of dried cilantro.

I have even tried using salsa instead of the tomato sauce, works great.
