I get no sound when connecting xbox360 to Hauppauge?

When I connect an XBox360 through the Hauppauge PVR I get no sound when playing XBox360 games. When I play DVDs through the XBox360 however, the audio works. So it clearly can't be a lose cable if the sound works for one and not the other.

I'm guessing DVDs use a different sound protocol than the games.

Does anyone have any information on this? Better still, did anyone have the same problem and know how to resolve it?
