If the sun suddenly disappears. Space time curvature is slowly restored to a flat plane and, similar to an ocean wave, takes time to travel to the earth where the effects will be felt.

because effect of suns gravity can not disappear b4 sun actually disappear
and it takes approx 8 sec for suns light to reach earth .and if sun actually disappear it will be after 8 sec we would come to know that sun is missing not before that.
but tell me how the effect of suns gravity disappear before sun actually disappear for u
that's the reason behind acknowledged that the effects of Gravity can also not move faster than light.
