We got a notice saying our landlord wont renew our lease. If I sign a new lease, am I "safe"?

We worked out the trouble, we live in a trailer park. If I sign a new lease, are we "protected"?

Update:

I'm in the state of Texas in a trailer park. We got a notice saying they don't want to renew our lease so, we have 2 months to move. We worked it out but, if I sign a new lease am I protected from legal action? I don't know how much more clear I can make it.

Update 2:

as I said, we worked it out.. so.. IF i sign a new lease.. am I protected?

Update 3:

Apparently, I'm not making myself clear. I have the OPTION to sign a new lease. Now that we have worked things out... IF i sign this new lease.. am I protected?

Update 4:

OMFG! THE PARK is offering a new lease! get it?.... They are offering ME THE OPTION OF SIGNING A NEW LEASE!....

THAT said... IF I sign a new lease.. am I protected?

You can't sign a lease if you've been told they won't renew. If you've worked things out and have signed a lease you are protected for the time stated in the lease

You seem to have missed the point - ably pointed out by other answerers.

If the park won't sign a new lease, you don't have a new lease (both parties have to sign for the lease to be legal).

If they won't sign a lease, you can't have a lease, so there is no lease.

Essentially - in conclusion - you have to move.

Both authorized parties have to sign. This depends on the laws of wherever the frak you live.

Given the paltry facts stated, the best scenario is that the person who signed the notice also signs the new lease. But it is not likely to matter as long as the signatories are authorized.

If your landlord isn't renewing your lease then you can't sign a new one because there is no lease to sign
