the perimeter P of base is = 6(8)=48
lateral area(L)=P*h=48*5=240
To find the area B of the base, we must use the formula B=1/2aP=1/2*3*48=72
the total surface area of the regular hexagonal prism is
T=L+2B = 240+144=284
V = Bh
